Scripture passages for the week:
Proverbs 31 : 19 - In her hands she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
Colossians 3 : 23 - Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.
Ephesians 6 : 7 - Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people.
Proverbs 31 : 20 - She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.
Deuteronomy 15 : 7-8 - If anyone is poor among your fellow Israelites in any of the towns of the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward them. Rather, be openhanded and freely lend them whatever they need.
Proverbs 11 : 25 - A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.
1 Thessalonians 4 : 11 - and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you,
Proverbs 19 : 17 - Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.
The message that spoke to me this week, is to lead a quiet life of ambition, minding my own business. Too often we muddle in other people's lives. My goal is to work on leading a more quiet life.
