Drew Gets His Gift

As I previously mentioned, I gave Drew his wedding present on Friday night at the rehearsal dinner. I had forewarned Brad so that he could be sure to be there to get some photos. Boy, am I glad that I did. Here's Drew's face:

And another take:
Needless to say, he absolutely loved them. For anybody left out in the dark, and I know that there weren't many people, I had some boudoir pictures taken. Boudoir pictures are simply classy lingerie pictures. I used Leah Stafford and she was fantastic!

I pretty much begged Brad to send me some teasers of Drew's reaction so that I could show Leah when I go with Nicole for her pictures. He surpassed my expectations by emailing them to me on Sunday morning! I forwarded them to Leah last night and she loved them. She said that she had never had anybody share with her the pictures of the husband's reaction. I couldn't believe it. I'm really glad she got to see it then.

After I gave Drew the album on Friday night, we were talking about the pictures on Sunday morning and I was telling him all about what had gone on. I told him that Leah had taken a couple hundred photos and he asked me about those. I told him that I them on a cd and told him that I would show them to him later. Fast forward to Sunday night and we were sitting the beautiful Hotel Sofitel and I had just emailed Leah her pictures when I remembered that I had put something in my bag. Little did Drew know, but all those pictures that he had wanted to see...?? Ya, I had already printed them out and put them in an album for him. I tossed it to him on the bed and his eyes got all big. He was so happy!

Anybody that is debating doing this pictures..... DO THEM!!! Not only will your future husband (or even current husband) love them, but you will feel great about them too. Drew recently told me that he wants to blow one of them up and hang it on the wall. Ya, right, like that will ever happen!

It Sure Sucks Well

Drew and I were informed by his parents that we had a couple of shower gifts waiting for us at their house. His mom said that we had a HUGE box waiting for us. Drew was convinced that it was our china. I was skeptical. Upon arrival to their house, we had our new present waiting for us.It's a Hoover Wind Tunnel+ Cyclonic. I have never seen Drew so excited! He bounced around like a little kid. No sooner had we brought the box into the house was he tearing into it and assembling the vacuum. He then started to vacuum our apartment. Keep in mind that he had just vacuumed on Friday since my mom and Darrell came over. So, off he goes, vacuuming our entire apartment. He was so amazed at the amount of crap that he got off the floor. Obviously the vacuum that we previously had just didn't have the sucking power that this new one has.

I had a productive wedding day. I put the finishing touches on two of the girls' gift bags, which I had been putting off for awhile. I made the coloring book for the little kiddies at the reception. Brad, our photographer, called and we had a consultation with him. (He lives in Ohio. He's Drew's cousin. We haven't met and that makes me a little nervous. However, I have full faith that he'll do a great job; I've already emphasized how important photography is to me.) We set up times for everybody and worked out a great timeline!

Then, Drew decided that he wanted to vacuum AGAIN!!! He vacuumed all the floors again, the couches again, the walls, the ceiling, the fans. Everything that he could get to with the vacuum, he vacuumed. Then, I think he was a little sad that he didn't have anything left to vacuum, so he took the vacuum upstairs and vacuumed our neighbors entire apartment!! Seriously!!! Our neighbors... ya, they laughed!

Our DJ, Kevin, also called tonight, so we got everything set for the music for the reception. I'm a pretty happy camper right now with the amount of wedding stuff that we/I accomplished today!

To Post or Not To Post

I've been debating about blogging about my experience on Thursday with Drew's wedding present. I started to post yesterday and got about 3/4 of the way through the day and then my mom called so I went to talk to her and walked away from the computer, and Drew wandered over to try to take a peek at what I was doing. I have no idea if he reads this blog or not. And I would hate for him to come on here in his desperation to find out what his wedding present is and find out. Let's just say, that Thursday was amazing. I've received some teasers and they are fantastic. I can't wait to see the rest of it.

I promise that I'll post about the day after I give Drew his wedding present. I think that I'm going to give it to him after the rehearsal dinner before we part ways. Brad, our photographer, is going to be at the rehearsal, so I can let him know that I'm going to be giving Drew his present and he can take some pictures. I can't wait to see Drew's face.
